David founded Green Pedal Cycles in 2020 to provide Echuca Moama visitors with a new and memorable leisure holiday experience.
David and his wife Suzanna became E-Bike owners a few years ago. They enjoyed cycling the local scenic tracks and trails so much, they were inspired to establish an E-Bike hire service for visitors to Echuca Moama. After research and planning they chose a business structure, and sourced high quality E-Bikes and standard push bikes. David built a customised bike trailer to provide flexibility and so the bikes can be delivered to the customer. The Green Pedal trailer is often found in Murray Esplanade, near the Port of Echuca Discovery Centre, or out and about delivering bikes to accommodation in Echuca and Moama.
Bike hire options include a 2 hour special, 1/2 day and full day hire. Included in every hire is the use of a helmet and lock, and you are also given a map. David has excellent knowledge of the Echuca Moama bike trails and places to ride, and provides suggestions of where to ride and other leisure activities . You’ll be never short of things to do in Echuca, when you have an E-Bike as your holiday companion!
There are 3 bike options to choose from: E-Bike step through style (the most comfy), E-Mountain bikes or standard bikes (push bikes).
David has customised several E-Bike cycling tours in Echuca and Moama. The most popular is the 90 minute Echuca Scenic tour. This tour incorporates the historic Port of Echuca, Riverboat Dock and the usually the Scenic trail which meanders alongside the Murray and Campaspe Rivers. A recent highlight addition to this tour is cycling over the new Echuca Moama Dhungala bridge. Another favourite tour is the Bike to Winery tour. With several stops in Moama, the tour highlight is a visit to St Anne’s Winery, in the Perricoota Wine region Moama. Every month David and Suzanna host a guided E-Bike day tour from Axedale on the O’Keefe Rail Trail. Axedale is a comfortable 50 minute drive from Echuca, 20 minutes from Bendigo, and 2 hours from Melbourne. This is a whole day tour, departing Axedale on the iconic O’Keefe Rail Trail, to either Bendigo or Heathcote and return.

The trailer has an off grid power source that can charge up to 4 bikes simultaneously. At home base the bikes are charged from a renewable energy source.
